Sue Jane Rivas-Grosso, MD, President
In addition to her position at Summit Medical Group, Dr. Grosso is a radiologist at Overlook Medical Center and at Summit Radiological Associates, PA. A gifted speaker, Dr. Grosso has delivered presentations about breast cancer for the American Cancer Society. Most recently, she appeared on an American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Awareness program that was broadcast on radio and cable television. Dr. Grosso is a member of the Society for Breast Imaging, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, and American Cancer Society. She is a recipient of the American Cancer Society Annual Award for Community Service and she has been an honoree for the American Cancer Society Sword of Hope Charity Ball, Latino Civic Association, and Staten Island Borough Hall. Dr. Grosso is listed in Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors in Women’s Health” and Castle Connolly’s “America’s Top Doctors.” To her credit, Dr. Grosso is a volunteer member of the American Cancer Society Eastern Division. She has been Chairperson for “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” in Staten Island and she is Former Vice President of First Saturday in October, Inc, a nonprofit organization that provides breast health awareness for the Hispanic community and other underserved people. She is a consultant for and participant with the Breast Health Partnership of Staten Island.
Diana M. Addis, MD, Vice President
Before joining Summit Medical Group, Dr. Addis was Director of the Elmhurst Hospital Breast Service in Elmhurst, New York. She also has been Assistant Professor of Surgery at Elmhurst Hospital and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Addis is a diplomate of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She is a recipient of the American Academic Surgical Research Association Award and the General Surgery Teaching Award. Dr. Addis is featured in the 2011 and 2012 New Jersey Monthly ”Top Doctors” listing.

Dora E. Arias, Executive Director
In May 2003, Dora was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 39. After working at JP Morgan for over 18 years, she left the company in 2005 and joined the Patient-Centered Teaching program developed by Dr. Stuart Green from Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. As a patient educator, she had the opportunity to share her personal experience with breast cancer with healthcare providers from various hospitals as well as women in the community. After managing the program for two years, she had an overwhelming desire to help women facing a breast cancer diagnosis, especially those women who were medically underserved. In July 2007, she started spending time in local hospitals helping medically underserved women with breast health concerns or a breast cancer diagnosis through the process of accessing healthcare services. This work led to the development of the Community Health Worker model, and the establishment of Curémonos, as a non-profit organization in 2009. Dora is currently a member of the Advisory Board, Patient Satisfaction Committee and Community Task Force Committee at Overlook Hospital.
Peter Hyans, MD, FACS
Dr. Hyans is the Director of the Plastic Surgery Center and Chief in the Department of Surgery and Surgical Specialties at Summit Medical Group. A board-certified plastic surgeon, he has 15 years’ experience in plastic surgery. His expertise includes facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. He is the author or coauthor of articles concerning plastic and reconstructive surgery, which are published in prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals and popular regional lifestyle magazines. In addition, he is a contributing author for the book, Be Your Best: A Comprehensive Guide to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which offers patients expert advice on all aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery. A gifted speaker, he has participated in local and national invited presentations in his field. Dr. Hyans’ fellow physicians have voted him among top doctors in plastic and reconstructive surgery in New Jersey Monthly. Professional Memberships include: Diplomate-American Board of Plastic Surgery, Ambassador – American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Fellow – American College of Surgeons, New Jersey Medical Society, New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons and Union County Medical Society. Dr. Hyans obtained his BA from Emory College in Atlanta, GA and his medical degree from UMDNJ – Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway, NJ.
