At Curémonos, we're creating a strong movement towards change.
Patient of Courage
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has selected our founder, Dora E. Arias, as one of the Patients of Courage for her work with Curémonos. The Patients of Courage: Triumph Over Adversity awards recognize inspirational reconstructive plastic surgery patients who use their experiences, strength and determination to help others in need and give back to their communities through charitable work.
U.S. Senator Robert Menendez at Curémonos Fundraising Event
“The work you do to provide support, education and advocacy when it comes to addressing the devastating consequences of breast cancer on our women and families is so important to New Jersey, and I thank you. Providing Latinas with access to breast cancer screenings, ensuring they are able to receive treatments and that they can continue to lead long, happy lives after a breast cancer diagnosis is too important to let politics get in the way. Together we will succeed.” -U.S. Senator Robert Menendez
Model of Courage
In March of 2012, Ford Warriors in Pink selected our founder, Dora E. Arias, as one of their Models of Courage. Dora serves as a role model in her community and to all those involved in the fight against breast cancer. Dora appears nationally as one of the models for the 2012 line of Warriors in Pink wear and gear. In her interview, she shares her personal experience with breast cancer and why she established Curémonos to help medically-underserved women affected with breast cancer.
Curémonos - Summit Medical Group
Join Summit Medical Group surgeon, Peter Hyans, M.D., and Curémonos Founder, Dora E. Arias, for a moving story on how Curémonos helps medically underserved and uninsured women with breast cancer.
Curémonos is a community-based organization created to help, guide, and educate medically-underserved women who are facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
We’re creating a strong movement towards change by collaborating with healthcare and community organizations to eliminate the barriers medically-underserved women face in accessing medical care and services.
Our mission is to empower women in the fight against breast cancer through education and support.
